During Monday night’s presidential debate, Hillary Clinton, provided a glimpse into what is in store for the nation and its citizens should she become president.
After pointing out Barack Obama’s failed energy policies, role in our national debt crisis, job loss, and the economy, Donald Trump asked Clinton why after 30 years is she suddenly thinking about solutions? Clinton’s response is scary and a warning to America.
TRUMP: Hillary, I’d just ask you this. You’ve been doing this for 30 years. Why are you just thinking about these solutions right now? For 30 years, you’ve been doing it, and now you’re just starting to think of solutions.
CLINTON: Well, actually… [Interruption]
TRUMP: I will bring — excuse me. I will bring back jobs. You can’t bring back jobs.
CLINTON: Well, actually, I have thought about this quite a bit.
TRUMP: Yeah, for 30 years. [Interruption]
CLINTON: And I have — well, not quite that long. I think my husband did a pretty good job in the 1990s. I think a lot about what worked and how we can make it work again…
TRUMP: Well, he approved NAFTA… [Interruption]
CLINTON: … million new jobs, a balanced budget… [for other nations – my emphasis]
TRUMP: He approved NAFTA, which is the single worst trade deal ever approved in this country. [Interruption]
CLINTON: Incomes went up for everybody. Manufacturing jobs went up also in the 1990s, if we’re actually going to look at the facts.
While incomes did rise but it had nothing to do with Bill Clinton.
The credit goes to hard working Americans whose efforts and years of hard work was finally paying off only to find themselves suddenly drowning under high taxes brought about by Bill Clinton’s tax policies.
Clinton also outsourced manufacturing jobs overseas and supplied private prison contractors with an endless supply of prison labor courtesy of his 1994 Omnibus Spend Crime Bill “which included the infamous “three strikes” law (three felony convictions means a life sentence) and ensured that mandatory minimum sentences imprisoned even low-level, non-violent offenders for a long, long time” and courtesy of the Congressional Black Caucus who to preserve Clinton’s presidency put the legislation over the top enabling its passage.
All of the above and NAFTA resulted in the massive destruction of manufacturing jobs in the United States.
And while the Clintons have apologized for the historical mass incarceration of Americans, the majority of whom were Blacks and Hispanics under the Crime Bill described by Hillary as a “well-thought out crime bill that is both smart and tough,” both Clintons have no regrets.
Regardless of the damage to Americans, to our nation, as result of Bill Clinton’s policies, Hillary Clinton as we heard the other night stands by her belief that hubby “did a pretty good job in the 1990s. I think a lot about what worked and how we can make it work again…”
That one statement is a warning that should Clinton rig her way into the White House, Americans can expect a third-term Bill Clinton presidency, “I will put in charge of revitalizing the economy ’cause he knows what he’s doing.”
Remember Hillary Clinton’s words when you head to the polls in November.
“I think my husband did a pretty good job in the 1990s. I think a lot about what worked and how we can make it work again…”
