Kathy Shelton was just 12 years old when 41-year-old Thomas Alfred Taylor raped her in Arkansas in 1975. Her rapist’s defense lawyer – who got him out of going to prison for life – was Hillary Clinton.
Now, four decades later, she has agreed to be named and pictured for the first time in this Daily Mail Online exclusive because she is furious that her rapist’s defense attorney – Hillary Clinton – has been portraying herself as a lifelong advocate of women and girls on the campaign trail.
‘It’s put a lot of anger back in me,’ said Shelton, now 54, in an exclusive interview at her Springdale, Arkansas, home in August[…]
On September 5, 1995, Hillary Clinton spoke at the U.N. 4th World Conference on Women Plenary Session in Beijing, China in which Clinton stated:
“Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families. Over the past two and a half years, I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing women in my own country and around the world….”
It is a violation of human rights when individual women are raped in their own communities and when thousands of women are subjected to rape as a tactic or prize of war….”
The video of Clinton’s 1995 speech is at the bottom of this post.
Twenty years earlier, Clinton bragged and laughed as she recounted getting Kathy Shelton’s rapist off. For Clinton, it was one heck of an accomplishment, something which until this day, she wears as a badge of honor.
