Former New York Gov. George Pataki said Tuesday that he’s ending his bid for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, with just over a month to go before the first nominating contests begin.
Pataki made the announcement in an ad that aired on local NBC affiliates in New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina Tuesday night.

If I recall correctly, Pataki checked out of the governor’s mansion early, meaning that he was pretty much MIA during his final year or so as governor of New York.
Just as New Yorkers hardly heard from the then governor as his near the end of his tenure, we have not forgotten how often it was asked, “Where is Pataki?”
