Nope, your ears are not deceiving you. You heard right. An inmate serving time at Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas by the name of Keith Judds got 40% of the Democratic vote yesterday in West Virginia’s Democratic Primary against Barack Obama. H/t Redstate.
Judds who paid the $2500 fee and submitted a form known as a notarized certification of announcement allowing him entry on to the W. Virginia state ballot in the primary is serving time at the Texas Correctional facility for making threats in 1999 at the University of Mexico.
Having received more than 15% of the vote qualifies a delegate for the candidate to attention the Democratic National Convention, however, to date, no such person has come forward and I am sure that Progressives are hoping it stays that way.
In the meantime, Progressives, no doubt, shaken by this turn of events are searching the records claiming that the necessary paperwork that would allow Judds participation in the election campaign has not been filed.
