“…The Texas congresswoman’s comments came in response to a question about remarks she made on the House floor Wednesday, when she said there are ‘candidates like Newt Gingrich who want to throw fuel and matches and fire to develop sort of an explosiveness in this country’ and there are ‘underlying suggestions’ to calling Obama the “food stamp president.’….

To say children in New York should ‘pick up a broom and work…is a code word to, if you will, portray poor children and poor school districts that they have seen no one work legitimately,’ she said. ‘That they don‘t have a work ethic and these janitors are overpaid unionized workers who don’t have family and are not making $37,000 a year…”

Before you read any further, let me inform you that I am about to go off on a rant here that may offend those with sensitive ears.

While not a fan of Newt Gingrich, I must call Sheila Jackson Lee out.

The claims of Obama being the food stamp king is racist NO, valid YES and as follows:
In October 2008, before Obama entered the White House, 30,841,790 people received food stamps.

In October 2010, 43,201,052 people collected food stamps and as of October that figure jumped to 46,224,722.

That is an increase of 15,382,932 people collecting food stamps under the Obama administration.

Hence, Obama owns the title, Food Stamp King lock, stock and barrel.

As far as children earning money picking up a broom or doing janitorial work, what the hell is wrong with that?

Lee’s generation, which happens to be my own, was taught by our parents from early on that you have to start somewhere and that there is nothing wrong with hard work, as long as it is honest.

My mother’s exact words, which I have repeated to my children on numerous occasions, were “you have to crawl before you walk.”

We were told that you do what you have to do even if it meant cleaning the streets or working as a janitor.

Lee makes it sound as if America’s youth are too damned good to work as janitors but just right to spend a lifetime government dependent.

Being a janitor is hard work and it is honest work.  Lee should not be so damned condescending to Black America and insolent towards  janitors.

Her words expose her as a snobbish heffa, a B.S. artist and a liar better yet a house slave guilty of plantation politics.  The rhetoric as espoused by Lee is for the sole purpose of keeping Black America dumbed down, in poverty and slaves to government.

Lee’s message, very much in line Nancy Pelosi’s “you don’t have to work” message is about making young Americans lazy and government dependent.  To hear Progressives tell it, it is better to collect a government check than to take a job as a janitor.

While we are on the subject, allow me to point out the correct title for a janitor employed in NYC schools is “Custodian” or “Custodian Engineer.”

Gingrich suggestion of NYC students working as part-time custodians makes perfect sense.

While working as a part-time custodian, the student would earn credits and work experience towards a full-time custodial position upon graduation from high school should they decide not to attend college.

Choosing to deceive, this Progressive witch fails to reveal that custodians employed in NYC schools are unionized and when it comes to choosing a side, Lee has chosen the side of labor unions over providing American teenagers an employment opportunity.

Shame on Sheila Jackson Lee and sorry if I have offended anyone except Progressives.  Hmmmmmm, there I feel much better.
