Newsflash: Displays of the Ten Commandments in public schools, let alone teaching them, is illegal but displaying the five pillars of Islam is not.
‘The bulletin board that originally caused the concern does represent the 5 Pillars of Islam — in a historical context of their studies,’ the spokesperson said.
The district said the photograph of the bulletin board is misleading because it is ‘without context.’
‘There is also a painting of the Last Supper hanging in the school as part of the study of art and the Renaissance period,’ the spokesperson said. ‘A photo take of a bulletin board without context is misleading, and some have taken it out of context without having all the information….’
[Translation: You don’t understand because we have not explained it to you yet. Now where have I heard THAT before and HOW OFTEN?]
Common Knowledge is another Progressive label for Common Core.
The display has been temporarily removed. The study of Islam according to school officials is part of their “Core Knowledge” magnet curriculum.
Public school a vessel for Indoctrination and the Islamization of America
For some reason, I came up empty during a Google search for “Common Core, Core Knowledge, five pillars of Islam.” However, under Bing, there was plenty of information of which, unlike Google, there is no shortage (screenshot below).
Under Common Core students for fourteen years plus“…explore the Five Pillars of Islam. In this Muslim beliefs lesson, students watch video clips and research selected websites about the Five Pillars. Students complete worksheets and create posters about the duties of Muslims….”
Last winter, a Texas lawmaker launched an investigation into an incident where teacher asked female students to wear Islamic garb and then instructed her students to refer to Muslim terrorists as “freedom fighters.”
… The lesson on Islam was taught in a world geography class at Lumberton High School. The teacher brought burqas and other Islamic clothing for the female students to wear. They were also assigned to write an essay based on a Washington Post story that blamed Egypt’s troubles on democracy – instead of the Muslim Brotherhood….
The parents, of one of the girls assigned with wearing a burqa confronted their child and asked her to explain exactly what it was that they were taught. According to their daughter, “…They were asked about their perception of Islam….Most of the class said they thought about terrorism. And her [the teacher’s] response was, ‘we’re going to change the way we perceive Islam….’”
It concern us all that while the teacher explained that the lessons she taught on Islam were not “necessarily” that of her viewpoints, she was merely doing her job.
Common Core, in alliance with CAIR, is using America’s public schools, catholic schools and private schools to indoctrinate our children into Islam. Dawa in our educational institutions must not be allowed to continue.
