An Ohio market vendor told President Barack Obama on Friday that his business has been going ‘terrible’ since the president’s arrival, according to media reports.
Obama was greeting different vendors at Cleveland’s West Side Market when he came upon the proprietor of Rolston Poultry.
According to the White House pool report, Obama asked the man how business was going.
‘Terrible since you got here,’ he replied.
According to the report, Obama “didn’t appear amused by the sentiment” and the Cleveland Plain Dealer said he “quickly shifted direction to another stand” after the encounter….
Of course, the lame stream media transporting Barack Obama’s water as usual are implying that the business owner was annoyed prior to Obama’s arrival at his counter.
In other words, this non-loving Obama entrepreneur with a mind of his own was having a bad day and the fault, therefore, did not lie with Obama.
On behalf of the businessman’s disenchantment with Obama’s presence, considering the fact that every business that Obama goes near withers away and dies, I would not want Obama near my business either.
It pays to note that any businesses, institutions, parks, public places selected for an Obama photo op are immediately locked down for hours with no consideration as to how such inconveniences will affect those whose livelihoods are at stake.
…I have no problem with that man,’ the 56-year-old Medina man said in an interview soon after the president had left. ‘I was happy to meet him and happy to shake his hand, but I lost business.’
Leu’s phone at his stand, Rolston Poulty, unceasingly rang for hours after the Internet caught wind of the exchange. He stopped answering it after too many requests for interviews.
‘I don’t want to be ‘Joe the Plumber’,’ said Leu, who has owned the stand since 1992. ‘I want to be ‘Terry the chicken man.’ I just want to sell chicken. I was not making a political statement…..
Such preparations and visits by the anointed one delivers a financial blow to businesses on the whole but strikes particularly hard at entities struggling to keep their heads above water.
As far as Obama-mao is concerned, these businesses should want to go under for a mere handshake or nod from their messiah.
Will the b.s. ever end?
