While there are those who may not deem this worthy of mentioning, much like a previous post of mine, RACIST PIG HARRY REID INVOKES RODNEY KING, I beg to differ. It is not lost on me that the point of the Harry Reid/Rodney King post went over the heads of some. No surprise there, either you get it or you don’t.
Harry Reid, foot in mouth, is now apologizing to Barack Obama and the Black community for guess what…more racist banter.
During Obama’s campaign run Harry the Racist Reid stated his approval of Obama, a “light-skinned’ African American” and adding insult to injury “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”
Translation: “Obama is light enough, talks white enough and damn the sob is smart. He knows when and when not to speak Negro.”
Excerpt (page 37) from Game Change written by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin:
“encouragement of Obama was unequivocal. He was wowed by Obama’s oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama — a ‘light-skinned’ African American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,’ as he said privately. Reid was convinced, in fact, that Obama’s race would help him more than hurt him in a bid for the Democratic nomination.”
The whole country should be offended by Reid’s remarks especially since Democrats depict themselves as the leaders of political correctness when they are actually usurpers of the race card.
Reid’s remarks makes it abundantly clear that Democrats as a whole would never have approved or backed a brown to dark skin African American for president. It also explains why so many other African American politicians with far more experience than Obama were overlooked. Since Barack Obama was light enough to pass, he received their seal of approval.
REALITY CHECK: Obama’s road to the presidency was seeded in racism.
“I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African Americans for my improper comments. I was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of Barack Obama during the campaign and have worked as hard as I can to advance President Obama’s legislative agenda. Moreover, throughout my career, from efforts to integrate the Las Vegas strip and the gaming industry to opposing radical judges and promoting diversity in the Senate, I have worked hard to advance issues important to the African American community.”
I do believe that this apology is a first for Reid, however, it should be noted that (i) only after the cat was out of the bag did Reid feel the need to apologize; and (ii) the apology is solely about Reid running for re-election and the fact that his approval ratings are lower than his ankles. In effect, Harry the Racist Reid is pandering to the Black community because he needs the Black vote and arrogantly, Reid feels that the Black community owes him for Barack Obama.
Whatever the case may be, how re-assuring it must have been for Harry Reid when he realized that Obama was equally corrupt and would, therefore, be a willing leader of the Democratic party’s fascist agenda.
Lastly, Barack Obama, like a good Negro has accepted the racist’s apology.
“…I accepted Harry’s apology without question because I’ve known him for years, I’ve seen the passionate leadership he’s shown on issues of social justice and I know what’s in his heart. As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.”
Message to Black community: Give Reid a pass. Of course, if Reid was a Republican, whether he apologized to Obama or not, the message would be interpreted differently.
